When cooking scallops, you can opt for the stovetop or oven methods. Both create amazing and delicious results.
Turn your heat on medium-high and give your skillet a few minutes to heat up. Swirl a tablespoon of butter or oil around the pan. When the oil is hot, carefully add the scallops in a single layer.
Cook the scallops for around two minutes on each side or until each side is a golden brown. You’ll know your scallops are ready when you see the edges start to curl. Add a pinch of salt and other seasonings to taste, if desired.
Preheat your oven to 450F. Line a baking dish with parchment paper. Drizzle the scallops with a little olive oil. Spread all the scallops into an even layer and season with salt and other herbs or spices.
Bake in the preheated oven for 8-10 minutes or until the edges are slightly crispy.
