HowTheFDoI.com is a build-in-public journal by a software developer in Canada who finally got tired of having ideas and not building them.
The format is simple: I'm building things — products, software, hardware — and documenting everything as it happens. The wins, the dead ends, the prototypes that snap in half, the weeks with zero progress. All of it.
Most "how I built this" content is written in retrospect, with the hard parts smoothed over and the timeline compressed into something that looks inevitable. That's not useful if you're trying to build something yourself.
This is the unedited version.
Because the useful information is in the failures, and most people edit those out.
If something I document here saves you a week of frustration or convinces you to start the thing you've been putting off — that's the point.
